New dental technology and hi-tech diagnostic tools are changing the way that modern dentists operate. Here are some of the ways that Dr. Steinberg is taking dentistry into the new millennium.
CEREC ® 3D Dental Technology
CEREC 3D® technology enables dentists to design and place beautiful dental restorations in a single patient visit. Perfectly fitted restorations are designed in three dimensions, and the ceramic material is milled right in the office. With CEREC technology, we can restore decayed teeth, design and place porcelain crowns, replace amalgam fillings, design and place inlays, onlays and dental veneers in one appointment.

Eccovision® Acoustic Diagnostics
The Eccovision® Acoustic Diagnostic Imaging System provides dentists a means to accurately assess the patient's airway. The Eccovision system works by emitting sound waves through two diagnostic tools - the Rhinometer and the Pharyngometer. First, the Rhinometer test is performed to check the nasal passages. Next, the Pharyngometer test is used to map the airway itself. Eccovision produces on-screen graphs correlating to the physicality of the patient's nasal passages and pharyngeal airway.

Dental Laser Technology
Dr. Steinberg uses the Waterlase® dental laser. This revolutionary new dental laser technology uses laser-energized water to cut teeth. A combination of laser energy and water-spray creates "Hydrokinetic" energy. Water droplets absorb the laser energy and become laser-energized water particles that, when directed at the tooth, rapidly remove enamel, dentin and decay. The Waterlase replaces the drill in many instances. Since there is no heat or vibration, this dental laser reduces the need for local anesthetic.
