Decay Assessment
Tooth decay is an oral disease that has plagued humans since the beginning of recorded history. In simple terms, it is the presence of cavities. It is well known that certain individuals develop more decay than others.
The purpose of decay assessment is to prevent the progression of tooth decay and improve oral health. By using advanced technology, we can detect areas of demineralization and decay at the earliest possible stages.
Dr. Steinberg and his team regularly use laser fluorescence technology with other diagnostic tools to detect and monitor the progression of tooth decay, and to aid in the decision to remineralize, remove or restore infected teeth.
