Laser Periodontal Therapy
Laser periodontal therapy gently and efficiently removes plaque and bacterial deposits found above and below the gum line as well as deep inside periodontal pockets. The dental laser removes infected tissues in deep periodontal pockets more accurately and with less discomfort to patients than mechanical instruments such as periodontal curettes.
Due to its ability to accurately target plaque and its strong bactericidal effect, the dental laser is frequently used in addition to scaling and root planing. Laser periodontal therapy provides more complete removal of contaminated tissue, reduced tissue inflammation and enhanced tissue healing in the treatment of periodontal disease.
