Laser Gum Surgery
Gum surgery with a dental laser is a minimally invasive procedure that can produce excellent results with less discomfort for the patient. The dental laser precisely cuts gum tissues for cosmetic and restorative indications. When compared to a traditional surgical scalpel, the dental laser allows for more precise control of the depth of tissue cuts and more accurate gingival margins. The laser causes less bleeding than a scalpel during gum surgery. This allows for better visualization and improved results in terms of height, contour and symmetry of the gum tissues. Less inflammation and rapid healing are commonly seen after laser gum surgery, and patients rarely need sutures or pain medication.
